NC CATCH

The North Carolina Comprehensive Assessment for Tracking Community Health (NC-CATCH) is a collection of health and demographic datasets that have been put into an easily accessible, web-based, data warehouse with two interfaces to accommodate different levels of users. NC-CATCH was created as a tool to facilitate collection, analysis, and presentation of secondary data by local health professionals conducting their Community Health Assessments.

NC-CATCH can also be used to gather data for:
  • SOTCH (State of the County's Health) reports
  • Grant applications
  • Progress reports
  • Community presentations
  • Media requests
  • Public inquiries
  • Health department planning and monitoring
  • Reports to County Commissioners

The North Carolina CATCH (Comprehensive Assessment for Tracking Community Health) system was developed by faculty of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) and funded by the North Carolina Division of Public Health in partnership with the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust. NC-CATCH was a collaborative effort between UNCC and state and local public health agencies in North Carolina.
