| The Healthy Carolinians of the Albemarle is a community-based
network of agencies and citizens dedicated to improving the quality
of life through health and wellness.

- Physical Activity: Increase physical
activity by developing walking traits and promoting benefits of
exercise.
- Fitness and Nutrition: Increase physical
activity by developing walking
trails and promoting benefits of exercise and increase the number
of adults
eating fruits and vegetables through the Winner's Circle restaurant
program.
- Access to Health Care: Publish a community
resource guide that provides information on health and human services
and developing a process for families to access services providers.
- Health Action: Access to Healthcare (Dental needs, Medicaid
after hours care and Health insurance for children) and Chronic
Disease (Pediatric Asthma, Diabetes and Obesity)
- Family Support: Affordable Child Care, Injury Prevention,
Child Abuse/Neglect and Elder Care
