| The mission of the Healthy Carolinians
2000 Task Force is to promote and preserve the optimum health of Edgecombe
County residents. By targeting specific health concerns, we will reduce
the incidence of premature loss of life and disability, to improve
and assure the economic development in the county, and encourage productive
citizenship. The goals of these objectives are to increase the span
of healthy life, to reduce health disparities among the disadvantaged,
and to emphasize preventative health services.
