- Youth and Adult tobacco prevention and cessation
|
|
1. Creation of the Far West Dental Clinic serving youth-18 low
income and Medicaid patients in 5 western counties.
2. The adoption of 100% tobacco free school policies in Cherokee
and Clay County School Districts
3. Tobacco free employees policy at Murphy Medical Center- soon
to be 100% tobacco free by November 19, 2005.
4. Diabetes self management 4 day workshops impacting 250 diabetics
from 2002-2004.
5. The attainment and recording/tracking of heights, weights and
BMIs of youth K-9th grade in Clay, Cherokee and Graham County
Schools
6. The disposing of carbonated drinks in vending machines in Clay
and Cherokee County Schools.
7. The substitution of unhealthy snacks to healthy snacks in vending
machines in Cherokee County Schools.
8. The development of an ongoing school employees walking program
for Clay County Schools.
