- Responsible Sexual Behavior: Reduce
the rate of unplanned adolescent pregnancies through self-esteem
and peer-relationship education classes for teens and provide
education information for parents.
- Asthma: Address childhood asthma through
Open Airways classes in all elementary schools; establish
policy to allow children with asthma to carry their medication
with them in school; and provide asthma education to parents,
guardians, and teachers.
- Access to Care: Address issues concerning access
to health care for individuals with little or no insurance coverage.
- Motor Vehicle Safety: Increase motor vehicle
safety by providing child car seats; provide SAFEKIDS education
and events throughout the county.
