The mission
is to advocate, guide, and assist Rockingham County in planning
and implementing health care strategies to promote healthy lifestyles,
improve health status and to increase the years of quality living
for all residents in the county.

Dental Health
Committee:
Priority areas are: Reducing tooth decay in school age children,
addressing preschool children dental health needs, and bringing
awareness to the community of the dental health crisis in the county.
Maternal and Child Health: Priority areas are: Tobacco free
schools, Infant Mortality, and Community Health
Local Physical Activity and Nutrition: Priority areas are:
Improving physical activity and nutrition in ages 18-75+ and school
age children by addressing physical activity and nutrition opportunities
in the worksites, restaurants, and vending options. Also, the LPAN
plans to increase awareness of physical activity resources in the
county.
