Task Force for Healthy Carolinians:
Duties
|
|
The Governor's Task Force for Healthy Carolinians
must:
|
 |
Advise
the State Health Director and the Secretary of the Department
of Health and Human Services on the policies, programs,
and resources needed to improve the health of North Carolina
residents,
|
| |
|
|
Have
the responsibility to periodically review the state health
objectives, make amendments as necessary, and report progress
toward achieving the objectives to the Governor, Secretary
of DHHS, and the State Health Director, |
| |
|
|
Have
the power to designate local healthy Carolinians Task Forces,
comprised of representatives of public and private organizations,
and community members and leaders, which support the goals
of the Governor's Task force, |
|
Certify
and Recertify Healthy Carolinians partnerships; and |
|
Provide
encouragement and guidance to communities establishing their
own local partnership to accomplish the objectives developed
by the Governor's Task Force. |
